If you're ready to get started...

Step one: Read the sticky topics under 'getting started.' Don't forget the plot, rules, and other posts that explain the nuances of the Road to Ruin world.

Step two: If you're ready to join, please register with the first and last name of the character you intend to create. We don't have a character canon list, so quit looking for it- just create a name. For example, 'John Smith' is okay. 'PrTTyGurl93' is not. In the rare instance that someone wants to create a character that only has one name or does not know their name, register as John Doe or something similar with the Doe surname.

Step three: Activate your account using the email provided. I can't speak for forumotion, but the staff here at RtR will not contact you or otherwise fuck with you via email.

Step four: Please fill out the application template and post it in the Applications forum. Wait for approval before posting anywhere else. Reply to your application topic to let us know you're done, otherwise we'll consider it incomplete. Incomplete applications can simmer for as long as a week before we chuck 'em out and either ask you to start over or forget about you. And yes, we are prepared to deny applications. Make sure you read the appropriate material and we shouldn't have any problems.

Step five: Once your application is approved, the staff will sort you into either Different or Normal species. Look for a reply on your application topic to get quick links to starting your plot page and brief info on any plot device currently in effect.

Step six: Get on the Cbox, send some PMs, or just look for open threads. Tag some plot pages if you like, and just get going. We're glad to have you here. Welcome to the Road to Ruin.
